Road Trip: Hyderabad - Bengaluru - Hyderabad

Started around 6:30 PM on a clear Sunday morning, from Gachibowli. A pleasant drive hitting decent speed on the highway, took a breakfast pitstop around 9:30 AM at Hotel Suraj Grand, Kurnool. A decent restaurant for breakfast (buffet / ala-carte). With couple of short breaks for fuel, reached Whitefield, Bengaluru around 3:30 PM. During morning near Hyderabad on the Bengaluru highway, there was a mad rush of rash driving large SUVs trying to race against each other. Once into the highway for some distance, the traffic got thinner and safer.

Though we didn't try other restaurants on the way, the below are few recommended ones

  • Food Pyramid at Kothakota (is before Kurnool)
  • BPCL Ghar Dhaba at Gooty
  • Ruchi's family restaurant at Anantapur, probably a slight detour from highway
  • Nandi Upachar, Devanhalli (closer to Bengaluru) and can be timed for Lunch

9th Oct, 2022 (Bengaluru to Hyderabad)

After a heavy breakfast, started from Bengaluru. Took a detour to Lepakshi, and by lunch time reached Ganiyeok Korean restaurant for an authentic Korean Cuisine lunch. This is around the vicinity of Kia factory near Anantapur. It was past evening, and with heavy traffic and drizzle, we took a detour through Mahboobnagar to beat the traffic (as suggested by Google maps). On the detour, we saw Pista House and took a break for Dinner. The restaurant is housed inside a theme/entertainment area, crowded, and stranded under heavy rain. Though it is the same chain, the service wasn't great, though food was decent.

Getting Ready The All Hearts Tour by Shreya Ghoshal, on 30th November at LB Stadium in Hyderabad was a concert to look forward to. Our first experience of a Shreya Ghoshal concert, we took a less tiring approach to travelling by metro to the concert, avoiding the traffic induced pressure, anxieties and long waits. Travel by metro was a breeze. For the concert scheduled to start at 7 PM, we reached the stadium around 6:15 PM. The stadium was a short walk from the “Assembly” metro station. At the stadium, quickly headed to the ticket counters to gather the wrist band for entry into the designated viewing areas. A gold class ticket with seating that cost Rs.2,300/ticket, was too far from the stage, though the viewing area was within the grounds and not the stadium seating (which was silver).
