GVK One mall

GVK One mall at Banjara Hills was opened to the public from May 1, 2009. This is one plush mall which matches international standards along with pleasure multi fold, makes this place sure shot one-stop destination for all.

Some of the key Features are:

• Located in the posh and prime high end area Banjara Hills Road No 1
• This is spread over a sprawling 6,25,000 sq ft with a capacity of parking 750 cars and 500 two wheelers (largest multilevel parking area in the city).There is a five level parking area and you need to literally go through the spiral area to get to the parking lot. It seemed more like going though hair pin bends, while you can see the other cars moving on the other levels.Each parking level has a different colour coding and every pillar has an identifying letter on it ,making it organized for the shoppers to easily locate their vehicles.The parking charges are Rs.20 for the first two hours for 4 wheelers and Rs.15 for two wheelers and ten bucks for every hour after that.Getting from the parking lot into the mall involves waiting for an elevator. The elevator would take you till the Lower Ground level,and from there on, there are escalators to the other floors.
• It has a 10 mtr long glass bridge on the first level(for shoppers to walk on) equipped with changing colour LE D's .
• It brings to the city, for the first time, international brands like Calvin Kline ,Mac, Lerros and so on .There are also other brands like Giordano, Bossini,Pepe, United Colors of Benetton, Crossword, Planet Sport and Wildcraft among the many that I remember. Mango and CK are among the ones that are on the way.
• Shopper’s Stop has one of its largest format store here which is spread across three levels with brands like Lacoste, Maybelline and more.
• It has the largest cylindrical salt water marine aquarium at the atrium , and has 30 varieties of fishes and has a capacity of 16000 litres water.
• There is an area on the ground floor that has around four to five mini Golf courses. Each Golf course would be around 15 to 20 feet in length.Not sure of the rates though.
• It also houses the city’s first six-screen INOX and a themed entertainment centre called Funzone for children of all ages. It has a wide variety of video and simulator games and mini-rides apart from a 4D theatre, simulator rides such as ‘The Labriynth’ and ‘House of Horrors’. This is designed by Marshall James Horsburg (creator of Ripley's believe it or not)
• The food court is called Polynation and has a payment system where you need to buy a prepaid debit card, load it with cash and use it to pay for food at the different outlets. The food court itself is pretty extensive and has a lot of choices for food – Hyderabadi,Chinese, Pasta, Lebanese, Pizza,North and South Indian.An indulgence for desserts at Deli 9 would be a perfect end to the treat.They also have KFC, Subway, Cookie man, an American corn and hot dog stand at the other levels.

• They also have a spa which boasts of many beauty therapies.There is also a fish spa at the lower level.The idea is that you dip your feet and the fishes go nip on them for feet exfoliation. The charge is Rs.200 per 15 Min's .
• GVK One will also bring Hard Rock Cafe, to cater to the growing demand of rock music

Well this is what I happened to read in one of the columns "GVK One is said to be a complete mall in every sense of the term, that would make even a New Yorker wince with envy."

Well literally yes!
