Amogh Boutique Hotel

After getting superlative reviews about this hotel, we decided to try this out one Friday evening.Many items on the À la carte menu were not available , though the timings were clearly mentioned .Inspite of the dosa combo and biriyani combo stating that the items are available from 7-11 pm (probably a printing mistake), the waiter told us that they were only breakfast items. Known as a boutique hotel (not knowing the reason why), we tried their dinner buffet.Well after doing a google search we got to know what a boutique hotel actually means:
  • A boutique hotel is generally not chain-affiliated, provides impeccable amenities
  • An intimate , stylish atmosphere is one absolutely essential component without which a hotel cannot be called boutique.
  • The boutique environment also includes anticipating guests’ needs and desires rather than simply responding to a request.The goal of any fine hotel, boutique or otherwise, must be great service.
Though it may be unfair to judge them just on the basis of one visit, except for the ambience we didn't find anything thats interesting and explicable.There was a wide spread of items, though the desserts could have been a lil elaborate (melted ice -cream and badushahi).The Chicken dhaniya soup was yum and was not the usual watery liquid which passes off as soup in several buffets. The Cauliflower tandoori fry and the stir fried chicken were exceptionally good. The main course was really ordinary and nothing exceptional.We didn't find the service extra ordinary too, since the water was refilled on request and the plates cleared much after we had finished two courses.

Try this place if you have no other dining or lunch option.

Getting Ready The All Hearts Tour by Shreya Ghoshal, on 30th November at LB Stadium in Hyderabad was a concert to look forward to. Our first experience of a Shreya Ghoshal concert, we took a less tiring approach to travelling by metro to the concert, avoiding the traffic induced pressure, anxieties and long waits. Travel by metro was a breeze. For the concert scheduled to start at 7 PM, we reached the stadium around 6:15 PM. The stadium was a short walk from the “Assembly” metro station. At the stadium, quickly headed to the ticket counters to gather the wrist band for entry into the designated viewing areas. A gold class ticket with seating that cost Rs.2,300/ticket, was too far from the stage, though the viewing area was within the grounds and not the stadium seating (which was silver).
