Aromas of China

Located on the fifth floor of the City Center Mall (Banjara Hills), Aromas of China is a classy Chinese restaurant by the BJN group. We have been here a couple of times but all the times (even on weekends), the restaurant was pretty empty , and we could pretty easily walk in without having to wait.The walkway is made of wood with channels of water running all below them (only at the entrance). As you enter there are couple of gold Buddha statuettes (in different positions) on either side of the dining area. The restaurant is quite spacious and divided into three distinct areas; a small area that has tables for two, the bigger area with table for four , and the third being to be a family area, with large tables and large chair backrest to accommodate families and big groups.

As soon as you are seated you are served with a bowl of Kimchi, a sweet and sour seasoned cabbage, and cucumber and carrot slivers seasoned with vinegar salt and sugar. We ordered Lemon coriander soup as an appetizer and Potato chilly crispy as starter. Both were equally good. The main course order were clay pot rice (which was just rightly flavoured and tasty) and seasonal vegetables in hunan sauce.Must say the service and food is exceptionally good.The portions too are relatively large , but the prices are a little on the higher side, but totally worth every penny spent.Though the desserts were enticing we skipped it.

Probably the next time we visit the restaurant would like to try your hand at the chopsticks for an authentic experience.

All Hearts Tour by Shreya Ghoshal: A Long Evening of Music

Getting Ready The All Hearts Tour by Shreya Ghoshal, on 30th November at LB Stadium in Hyderabad was a concert to look forward to. Our first experience of a Shreya Ghoshal concert, we took a less tiring approach to travelling by metro to the concert, avoiding the traffic induced pressure, anxieties and long waits. Travel by metro was a breeze. For the concert scheduled to start at 7 PM, we reached the stadium around 6:15 PM. The stadium was a short walk from the “Assembly” metro station. At the stadium, quickly headed to the ticket counters to gather the wrist band for entry into the designated viewing areas. A gold class ticket with seating that cost Rs.2,300/ticket, was too far from the stage, though the viewing area was within the grounds and not the stadium seating (which was silver).
